About Me

About Me

Life is good when you get to do what you love! I guess I’m one of the lucky few as I love to design digital scrapbooking materials and I love to digi scrap – but only when I get home from my full time job.

OK, a little more about me! I’m a 33 year old, workaholic who is not married for lack of time! *lol* I am presently living and working in the beautiful city of Hong Kong! I am British by nationality, but have only ever lived there for 9 months when I was in my mid-twenties. I have also lived in Canada for 6 years and then the rest of the time has been in Hong Kong. Love it! But… when it comes to working full time the definition over here is something out of the twilight zone – 12 hours a day minimum. That’s a good day! There have been days I didn’t go home at night! Things are better now (amazing what promotions do!), and I finally have enough time to do what I love – and this blog is a product of that!

I will try to blog as much as I can – but it may not be too much~~ I’ll try =)

Remember – life is good when you get to do what you love…!

What are you waiting for?

Dodie

P.S. I love comments (as does everyone =) If you have a minute, please leave me one – oh boy do they motivate me!

    Hi Dodie,

I just discovered your site today…very nice!
I wondered if you would share what fonts you are using for some of your wordart?
The first one’s I’m interested in are the one’s for January, February and March on the first page of your blog. Also, ‘perfect’ in the simply perfect on the same page.

I don’t scrap, but I do make greeting cards and I’d love to know the fonts for the inside verses.

Thank you for sharing all that you do.

      Hi Connie,

No problem! It’s called Jasmine and you can pick it up from “Font Garden” (http://www.fontgarden.com/). It’s my all time favourite font and I seriously over-use it! When you buy it you get two versions so that you can switch out some of the letters to make it look more realistic – this works really well, when you have doubles of letters in a word. I can’t remember how much it is, but I’m sure the personal version is reasonable.

      Glad you like it =)

and I just came across your site today too! Been leaving a couple of comments for things I’ve d’loaded – thanks – and I commented on a font. I’m guessing this must be it! That’s a great idea to interchange doubled letters and stuff. Good tip!

Hiya Dodie – I remember you well at Shatin College – probably because you were the only student I ever liked 🙂 Being younger than you, you reminded me of the Elisabeth Shue character in “Adventures in Babysitting” – I was a cheeky bugger who had a crush on you, lol.

Not sure if you still update this blog: I’m happy you are enjoying life – although I hated my years in Hong Kong and couldn’t wait to leave the place, I’m glad you’ve found a niche for yourself there.

    Take care!!!

      Hi anonymous!

You made me laugh! You should come back to Hong Kong some day and see if you like it any more:) Adventures in Babysitting sounds about right for me in high school! Between tutoring 10 hours a week and babysitting a whole lot, I can’t believe I actually graduated! (I did! And went onto my degree and then a masters). I guess I’ve always loved work.

      So… you are??

    Hi!

I’ve been scrappin for some time now but I’m relatively new to digital scraps… so yes, I found your blog in search of freebies 🙂 I recently discovered I could save tons and experiment more by doing that. I downloaded a couple of papers and doodles…I like most of your designs and I can’t wait to try them out 🙂

I am from Manila, by the way, and its interesting to find that you’re very near.

Thank you so much for sharing!

      Hi Leah!

Freebies are a great way to start out and learn:) I’m glad you like my freebies! There should be another add on freebie to my next kit coming next week so keep your eyes open for it! You could even sign up for my newsletter to make sure you never miss a freebie.

      Keep scrapping!
