Photoshop Layered Template 5 *freebie* {CU}

Hi everyone!

This time I am really, really, really hoping that my download is OK! Since moving my blog from my old server to my new server I have had huge headaches with getting my downloads to work. Today, I am almost positive (almost!) that they are all working. I have finally figured out the main problem and fixed it, but needed to then go through all my freebies and reset the download link for each one individually. It’s taken ages, but I think it means we’re in business! WOOT!

So hear we go, a clean and simple page template. If you have a minute, please let me know in the comments if the download worked AND if you were able to successfully extract/unzip the files. Thank you!!!!

And onto the freebie – it’s a layered Photoshop template and will work in any editing program that recognizes Photoshop files e.g. Elements, GIMP. It’s 12×12, 300dpi etc. and should make everyone’s life easier when it comes to starting a new page!

Hope you like it!

Another PhotoBoard template! These may be simple, but they are super versatile and can be used on your blog or on your scrapbook layouts!

This template is US Letter size and has space for 6 photos. It comes as a Photoshop layered file with optional shadows. You also get the .png files in both 72 dpi (for web) and 300dpi (for print) with and without shadows.

PhotoBoard 3

On Monday I made a post about Guernsey and the stunning coastlines that surround this amazing channel island. I used a PhotoBoard and decided to make it into a template incase you want to use it on your own web or in a scrapbook layout.

It is 12×12 inches in size and is a Photoshop file with clipping masks and an optional shadow layer to make it super fast to use.

I’ve also included WEB (72dpi) and PRINT (300dpi) .png versions (holes for photos) with and without shadows.

Web Photo Inspiration Board 1 *Freebie* {CU}

Photo Inspiration Board 1

I made a “Photo Inspiration Board”. So, you may be wondering what on earth is a “Photo Inspiration Board” – well, it’s a template for you to pop your favourite photos into and display on your blog quickly and easily.

I wanted to post a few of my favourite black and white photos, but didn’t want to post them all one-by-one – I generally think this looks messy. I remember seeing the idea of a collage of photos on other blogs and decided to give it a go. After I finished it, I thought it might be fun to offer it up as a freebie incase anyone else wants to do the same on their blog.

So, here it is! My first “Photo Inspiration Board” ready to be used. How? Keep reading!

I have included the Photoshop layered file with clipping masks and an optional shadow. If you use the shadow (optional) it will be 600px X 893px in size. As it’s for a blog, it’s 72dpi, which is the correct resolution for the web. If you would like to use it on your scrapbooking layouts, I would suggest changing the resolution to 300dpi.

If you don’t have Photoshop, don’t worry! I’ve also included two .png files – one with a shadow and one without. These are not as quick as using clipping masks, but they’ll get the job done: simply slot your photos behind each photo opening in the template.

Ok, enough talking – let’s get onto the template!

Hope you enjoy using it as much as I did! If you want to see my post using this inpsiration board, CLICK HERE. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I love feedback (and of course you make my day with your comments!).

Photoshop Layered Template 4 *freebie* {CU}

Photoshop Layered Template 4

A while ago I made a layout about my brand new iPhone 3GS! A few people asked me about it getting made as a template, so I decided to make it into a Photoshop layered template. It will work in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and possibly even Photo Impact (thanks to Carole N. for the tip!).

It is 300dpi, 12×12, .psd file etc.

I love the look of handcut paper and so love this style of template! Hope you enjoy using it as much as I did making it.

Here is the original layout I made using the template. I used a kit by Captivated Visions called “Pink Lemonade”. I also used CK Becky for the title and Cochin for the journalling. In the template I’ve used more generic fonts as most people won’t have the fonts I used.

Resistance if Futile!

Handcut Paper Shape Template *Freebie* {CU}

I got a new iPhone! So, I decided to make a layout about it and in the process made this template. I LOVE the look of rough handcut photos and so couldn’t trash this template when I went a new direction with my iPhone layout (I’ll post about it later!).

This is a layered Photoshop template and was created using CS4, although it will probably work in all versions with no problem, including Photoshop Elements (I’d love feedback on this). It won’t work in any other programs.

The easiest way to insert your photos is to use clipping masks. I will do a tutorial when I have time for people who are not familiar with clipping masks – but trust me… they make digital scrapbooking SO much easier, faster and more fun. What’s more, they’re deceptively simple.

In brief – put the photo you want above the square you want to fit it in. With the photo selected, click Ctrl+Alt+G (Windows)  or Command+Option+G  (Mac).

Enjoy!
